The carousel of different languages, nations and customs leaves a unique mark in the local cuisine, which draws the best from traditions of Slovenian, Croatian and Austro-Hungarian cuisine. The young chef Leon Pintarič is the fifth generation of the Rajh family, which has been preserving the Prekmurje culinary tradition since 1892. Even today, they prepare dishes from a recipe book that Tanja Pintarič, Leon's mother and chef, received as a gift from her mother in 1957. It is Leon who adds on creativity and modern touch to these dishes.

In his creations, Leon focuses on sourcing ingredients from the local area. Buckwheat, for example, is the queen of ingredients. You can't do without pumpkin oil either. With an excellent preparation of langaš and dödoli and the famous bujta repa, bograč and Prekmurje gibanica, the restaurants justifief their reputation here. The weekly menu includes wild deer in blue frankincense sauce from the Marof wine cellar, which has been a house winemaker for many years.

The aim of the Michelin video is to present the Slovenian culinary tradition, which draws from the treasures of pristine nature, and sustainable efforts, which the Rajh family takes into account at their work – this is also the reason why Gostilna Rajh is a proud holder of the Slovenia Green Cuisine label.

In 2017, Leon Pintarič won the national European Young Chef Award, what is more, the Gault & Millau Slovenia 2021 gastronomic guide selected him for the young talent of the year.
