Roglič's Jumbo Visma: Slovenia is a great sports preparations destination

The Slovenian Tourist Board continues its partnership with Primož Roglič and the Jumbo Visma team for promoting Slovenia as a tourist destination. The beginning of joint promotional activities has been marked by the training camp of the Jumbo Visma development team.

Roglič's cycling story began with the Radenska Cycling Club, continued with the Adria Mobil Cycling Club, and then in 2016 crossed the threshold with the Dutch professional cycling team, Jumbo-Visma (back then called Lotto Jumbo), with which he climbed to the very top of the world's cycling. In 2017, the Slovenian Tourist Board partnered with Primož Roglič and the Jumbo Visma team for promoting Slovenia as an excellent destination for five-star active experiences and sports preparations of top athletes.

Activities include posts, photos and video posts on social media for the purpose of promoting Slovenia as a tourist destination, posts about Slovenia in the team's e-newsletter, activating fans and promoting the I FEEL SLOVENIA brand at the Tour de France and promoting Slovenia as a great destination for cycling preparations during the Jumbo Visma development team training camp.

Jumbo Visma is starting the cycling season again in Slovenia

"Slovenia is perfect for cycling and quality training. We want to have altitude trainings here, which makes the area around Rogla perfect for our team," emphasizes the head of the development team Robbert de Groot.

Breathtaking nature, favourable climate, good infrastructure and professional knowledge make Slovenia one of the most desirable active holidays destinations, both for the high-profile sporting events, as well as for the preparation camps of top athletes. This makes Slovenia perfect also for young Dutch cyclists who are currently training on Slovenian roads.

The main goal is Tour de France

Currently, Jumbo Visma teams are training at various locations - some of them in Tyrol, Primož Roglič and his team in France, and the development team of young cycling talents in Slovenia.

This year's main goal for Roglič is to take part in the Tour de France, which will this year start on 29 August due to the coronavirus situation. The Slovenian cycling star is one of the main favorites for the overall victory.
