  • Days are shorter in autumn.
  • Mountain huts in highland areas are closed, while lower-lying ones follow a winter schedule.
  • Your mountain backpack should always contain the necessary equipment, adjusted to the trip's difficulty.
  • Stick to marked mountain trails.
  • Be cautious when encountering fallen leaves (wet roots and stones) on mountain paths.
  • Check current conditions before departure and avoid exposed areas near watercourses, where terrain may be frozen. Also, check the operating hours of mountain huts, as many close in autumn.
